Alaska PFD September 2026: Who Gets Paid on September 10 and How Much?

Some eligible Alaskans will receive a Permanent Fund Dividend (PFD) payment in September 2026, but this is not the main 2026 distribution. The September payment is for older, unpaid applications from 2025 and prior years that are still showing as “Eligible-Not Paid.”

September 2026 PFD payment date

The Alaska Department of Revenue has confirmed a September payment date of Thursday, September 10, 2026

This payment applies to:

  • 2025 and earlier PFD applications that are in “Eligible-Not Paid” status as of September 2, 2026

If your application shows a different status (for example, “In Process,” “Denied” or “Approved-Paid”), you will not receive a September 10 payment under this schedule.

You can check your current status and update your information through myPFD on the official Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend website. The state also advises recipients to make sure their address and banking details are current.

The Department of Revenue previously warned applicants to update direct deposit or address information by August 31 to ensure changes were processed before the mass 2026 payments expected in October.

How much will the 2026 Alaska PFD be?

The 2026 PFD package for most eligible Alaskans has been set at a combined $1,200, consisting of:

  • $1,000 Permanent Fund Dividend

  • $200 energy relief payment (part of the state’s operating budget)

The final amount followed months of debate in the Alaska Legislature over the size of the dividend, with earlier proposals calling for a larger payment around $1,500 before a compromise was reached.

Anyone receiving a September 10 payment should note that it is tied to an eligible unpaid application from 2025 or an earlier year. The main 2026 payment is separate, and the state’s own website indicates that mass payments are being prepared for October rather than September.

Key points to remember

  • September 10, 2026 is for 2025 and prior-year “Eligible-Not Paid” applications as of September 2.

  • The main 2026 PFD mass payment is expected in October 2026, not September.

  • Check your status at myPFD and confirm your address and bank details before the October mass payment.

  • The 2026 PFD amount for most eligible residents is $1,200 total ($1,000 dividend + $200 energy relief).
