COVID is Still a Pandemic, According to Insurance Companies

According to most health insurance companies operating in America today, the COVID-19 pandemic is still here and just as active as ever. Most of these insurance companies are offering a range of tests and treatments for the virus, and now they're even advertising that people can pick up free rapid home-use tests, every single month, and insurance will cover it. Why would these insurance companies still be pushing the idea that the COVID pandemic is at its height? Well, you can probably answer that question yourself. These are for-profit insurance companies, after all, and so they're just interested in the money. When Donald Trump was still President, part of the CARES Act that was fast-tracked through Congress and immediately signed stated that any COVID care, including all tests and treatments, would be reimbursed by the federal government.
So what you have now is a situation where an insurance company is going to spend $1 for a COVID test, but then charge you $20 for it, and then get a 2,000% profit back from the government. It's sickening to a lot of Americans, and so they don't even want to know about it. Some Americans don't believe it's happening, and so they consider it to be lies when they hear about it. However, you can track this stuff and find that these large insurance companies over-charge you by a huge percentage and then bill the government. It's not like this is a new revelation. Just two months ago, before Pfizer voted to allow Pfizer to inject kids under 5 years of age with the vaccine, Pfizer just so happened to nearly double the price of their vaccine, which the federal government is paying for. All told, Big Pharma made more money off of COVID than Amazon, Walmart and all the money that was sent to Ukraine, combined.
This is something to definitely be aware of if you care about testing for COVID and have medical insurance. Going through your insurance company for a "free" at-home rapid test is anything but free. They're going to charge you more on paper so they can charge the federal government much more for reimbursement. Companies acting this way in order to profit is something that is just going to harm you in the long term. For instance, these over-priced tests are going to mess with your deductibles for sure, and they're likely going to spike your monthly premiums. It's not like the insurance companies are doing something out of the goodness of their hearts here. The entire idea is to make money, and they're going to try to make it from you as well as from the federal government. So, just be careful here. If you're worried about testing, pick up a cheap test from CVS or Rite-Aid. You're going to save much more money in the long term that way.
Healthy Skepticism is Now Considered Fine
For a long time in America, you weren't allowed to be skeptical about any aspect of COVID. Of course, this went far beyond just questioning the seriousness of the virus. People were getting banned from social media and fired from their jobs for asking why taxpayers' money was being used to pay four different Big Pharma corporations for their vaccines. Those questions were not allowed; and it certainly wasn't allowed to question the effectiveness of the vaccines. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Instagram banned people left and right for even daring to ask those questions. Employers couldn't fire their employees fast enough, especially if they were in the public sector or with media companies. As of today, however, the pharmaceutical companies have already admitted that vaccines were not meant to provide immunity, and that they were making a fortune off of the federal government funding the entire endeavor.
Most people are now well aware of just how much gaslighting went into the COVID pandemic. That is no way an attempt to minimize the virus or its impacts; it's merely a statement of fact to point out that these companies were running a for-profit operation and their vaccines were wildly ineffective. The point is that you shouldn't allow insurance companies to make you panic about the virus all over again. They're outwardly telling you what their plan is: Charge you a lot in order to get federal money for the tests. They don't even try to hide it.
Again, if you need a test, buy one yourself. They're cheap and plentiful. Don't go through your insurance.
